We have some pretty cool features like publishing to our very own Apple News channel that really sets us apart from anyone else in our region. The training he provided helped us a lot as well so that we could take control of the content and get started.”

iOS and Mobile Development

When Apple announced Apple News, we were excited. We had already developed a NewsStand app but that required updates and knowledge of iOS coding. With Apple News, Apple provided an API for integration with a CMS so that all that was needed to publish news was a little code up front. Now, whenever the schools development department, campus ministry department, or counseling staff publish a new blog post, the post automatically gets formatted for Apple News. In addition to Apple News, we also integrated with Facebook Instant Articles, Google News, and Mail Chimp.

Promotional

In addition to creating a brand guideline book, we also implemented a new system for promotional materials. More often than not, when someone needed a shirt or coffee mug, the teacher or coach simply ordered it. This caused the brand to be extremely segmented across the campus. Some would use one logo, others used another logo and there was no continuity. We were happy to provide final design approval and polish to ensure that all materials out in the wild remained consistent. We designed shirts, bags, mugs, all on-campus signage, newsletters, letterhead, advertisements, and more.

iBooks and Textbooks

Bishop McGuinness became an one-to-one iPad school where every student had there very own iPad in 2014. Because of this, textbooks had become almost obsolete. We developed custom interactive curriculum for summer programs that was accessible in iBooks on the students iPads. Because we used iBooks, the students could take notes, highlight important information, and all of this was synced to the cloud for access on all of their Apple devices. We even migrated the newspaper and other publications to digital format. We love saving the planet, one pdf at a time!
